Waxing The City: A sponsored review

By FredrickHobbs

Disclosure: Waxing the City Highland Park invited the Twin Cities Moms Blog team to participate in a team event. We were provided with complimentary services and compensation in exchange for our review. We are delighted to share our glowing reviews about the experience! It is a great salon, and we are happy to share our experiences with you.

Waxing the City

Highland Park, invited our team to experience their unique waxing salon. Since we are girls who enjoy being pampered and hang out with each other, we were happy to oblige!

Waxing in the City can be fun in many ways. But the most important thing to notice is that there are no tips. You heard me, no tips. Your service price is what it is. That’s all. Our experience was a great one.

Clean facility and a highly skilled staff. It was not only modern and well-designed, but also spotless. This immediately makes you feel at home when you enter. Staff are well-informed about the best brow shapes for you and will make sure that you feel at ease. The staff will answer all your questions about the best brow shape and suggest products, but they won’t pressure you. They are specialists and only wax, not an add-on at a salon. Although the process was a little longer than “normal”, it was well worth every second. Staff won’t rush you; instead, they will spend time with each of you.

It is incredible! The wax used by Waxing the city is made in Spain. It comes in both hard and soft forms. You may have had a bad experience in other salons. After the procedure, your eyes are red and sometimes you feel the tears running down your face. Your eyebrows can also feel strained for up to 30 minutes. We all agreed that the eyebrow wax they applied was amazing! The effects last much longer and you won’t feel anything after the procedure is complete. Soft wax is also available.

They are affordable and convenient. It can be difficult for moms to fit in beauty treatments when there is so much else going on. They are open to walk-ins and you can schedule online. Plus, they are open Sundays so you have one more day to treat yourself. This salon is a No-Tip Salon. Your first service will be 50% off. There is no risk in trying them. You won’t regret it. They said that the best tip they could give was to refer friends. We promise it will be easy after your first visit.

Anytime Fitness owns Waxing the City. They have a Woodbury location and are opening locations in Maple Grove and St. Louis Park. Cloud. Cloud is a fantastic concept and they are now opening franchises.

We are more than happy for you to recommend this spot – here are some opinions from the Twin Cities Moms blog team

“The cerologists were kind and professional, and the entire place was spotless! They made me feel comfortable, even though I was 8 months pregnant.” – Anna

I like their knowledge about eyebrow shapes. She wasn’t content to just focus on my eyebrows. She also gave me tips about where to grow them and suggested how often I should visit. You will feel at ease with the hair you already have. Ruth was very meticulous but didn’t overdo it. They really care about you and if you enjoy your treatment. Suzanne: “I loved them!”

“I love that waxing is their speciality. It often feels like waxing is a secondary service at other spas and salons. I felt more confident trying out new places because of my specialization. “I already have my next appointment in the books!” Alissa

It was easy and very comfortable. Although I have had my eyebrows waxed at my salon in the past, I prefer the Waxing City setup where you can lay down on a flat surface to get better results. Karri: “I will never go back for hair salon waxing.”

Mothers give and receive all day to their children, their families, and their friends. It’s a pleasure to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life and be treated to some pampering. This spot is a great place to take some me-time.
